RP EXPERIENCE .On and off for around four years.

HOW DID YOU FIND US . Errr, I clicked a link?[/ul]
`there's no turning back,
NICKNAMES . Occasionally called Gray
AGE & DATE OF BIRTH . 17. December 13.
OCCUPATION . None currently.[/ul]
` i'll be waiting,
Her face is attractive enough, oval in shape and graced with refined features. She has a long, but delicate nose, and dark gray eyes that are framed by thick black lashes. Her lips are a pale shade of pink and are quite thin. She wears makeup, yes, but generally in a very subtle way. She puts on makeup to make it look like she hasn't. She may not be beautiful by modern standards, you know, the incredibly glossy, pouty lips, blonde with big blue eyes, ridiculously skinny, but she does have a certain classic appeal.
PERSONAL STYLE . A blend of clothes that are never quite 'in', but are never out. Color, and lots of it.Flip-flops, hoodies, and boyshorts. Adrian's style is an eclectic get together of samples from almost every store thinkable. And almost all of her clothes were on sale. You might even call her a bit cheap. She has enough money to buy all the name brand clothes she wants, but she can't stomach the thought of spending fifty dollars on a pair of jeans. Adrian's wardrobe is a new surprise every day, and it is almost impossible to guess what she will wear next.[/ul]
` lace up your shoes,
Cats- Ever since she was young, Adrian has loved cats. She is fascinated by their aloof independence, pride, and, most of all, that spark of wildness that no longer remains in other pets, like dogs. And she doesn't just like house cats, either, she loves to watch the big cats, tigers, lions, and especially cheetahs. She has never been able to own a cat, though, due to her mother's allergies.
Arguing- As odd as it might seem, Adrian loves to argue. Not arguing like "You're stupid." "Well you're stupider!" No, Adrian loves an argument with good insults, valid points, and an intelligent opponent. Sometimes she will argue the side of a point she doesn't believe in just because no one else will. She was forever arguing for communism in History, just because she could. Sometimes she even won.
Running- Adrian loves to sprint. She can run short distances faster than anyone she has ever met, male or female. She has no endurance, but she doesn't really mind. Cross-country has never been her thing. She's never been on a track team or played any organized sports, but she runs for fun almost daily. The rhythmic thud of ground beneath her feet soothes her like nothing else can.
Reading- When her life gets bad, Adrian finds a new life in her books. She is not picky, reading fiction, non-fiction, anything she can get her hands on. Reading is her escape, allowing her to pretend she leads a happier life among the heroes of her favorite literature.
DISLIKES .Contentment- Adrian hates people who are happy to live out their lives as mid-level corporate workers, or as anything else equally mundane. She longs for something more, something greater, and when she meets someone who doesn't, they are probably in for an argument.
Stupidity- Being a very smart girl, Adrian gets quickly annoyed with stupid people. She knows it is often times not their fault, so instead of fighting with them, she tries to ignore them. It's not like it would have been a good argument anyway. What annoys her the most are people who are smart, but choose not to try. In her mind, they sit right beside those who are content with mediocrity.
Humidity- As petty as it is, she hates the humidity. She doesn't mind dry heat, but when the air is so thick she feels like she is underwater, she just stays home.
Being forced into things- Adrian is ridiculously stubborn, and it is almost impossible to get her to do something against her will. She hates being forced to do something, even if it is something, that, if she had decided to do herself, she might have enjoyed.
Losing- Everyone dislikes losing to some extent, but Adrian is definitely an extreme. She can't stand not to win, due to her extremely competitive nature. Now, this rule only applies to big things. Little things she doesn't mind losing. She figures that they don't really matter, and when something important comes up, she almost always finds a way to win.
STRENGTHS . Intelligent- Adrian is smart. She has always excelled at schoolwork, but that's not all. She has always been able to grasp the whole picture, often before adults. She is very logical, sometimes suppressing her emotions in favor of her intelligence and logic.
Ambitious- Adrian is convinced that she is meant for something greater than suburban anonymity, and she won't stop until she finds out what it is. If you combine her stubbornness, her intelligence, and her ambition, you have an almost unstoppable force. In her opinion, anyways.
Honest- Adrian hates lying. If she can see what a person is really like, why bother lying? Often her bluntness gets her in trouble, because she will tell people exactly what she thinks of them. She's never been a gossiper. This gets her in a lot of trouble with her teachers, peers, and pretty much anyone else who doesn't appreciate complete honesty.
WEAKNESSES . Untrusting- Adrian has a trust problem. She can not bring herself to depend on anyone or anything. Ever since her father left, she has refused to trust another human being. She tells herself she's just playing it safe. She tells herself she's just being strong. But sometimes she wishes there was someone she could talk to, someone she could be friends with. But Adrian has done a wonderful job isolating herself.
Stubborn- Some people consider this a good thing. But Adrian is so stubborn that, even when proven wrong, she will continue to hold to her point of view. For a while anyway. She would rather stay in her room for days than apologize and be let out.And of course she is so stubborn in honesty that she can't not tell someone what she thinks of them, even if it might be better to keep quiet.
Clumsy- Adrian is a klutz. She trips up the stairs. She falls over her own shoes- while she's wearing them! She is constantly dropping things, bumping into things, falling over, or falling down. Graceful she is not.
GOALS . Although she doesn't know exactly what she wants to do, she wants to do something important. She would love to write a book, or maybe even become a politician. She wants to make a difference.
FEARS . Adrian is afraid of becoming emotionally attached to anyone, because she knows that sooner or later, they would abuse her trust. She is scared stiff of being touched. She's not sure why, but being touched, particularly by guys, panics her. If it is something formal, like a doctor's appointment or a hair stylist, it is okay, but a friendly touch on her arm freaks her out. She is also afraid of living her whole life as an insignificant nothing that will be remembered by no one but her family. She wants more than that.
SECRETS . She doesn't talk about her past much, but it isn't a secret. She doesn't' talk about herself much at all, actually.
FAIRY PAST . Tyrani. Fire. And her familiar, once found, will be a cheetah named Kain.
OVERALL PERSONALITY . Adrian has always been the girl who could have been in any clique she wanted. But she has never wanted to be in any clique. So she does her best to stave off offers of friendship. It as always been fairly easy for her to be alone. She is smart enough that the nerds find her to be a threat, pretty enough that the populars want to keep her away from their boyfriends, and hostile enough that the boys are generally smart enough to stay away.
Adrian is a bundle of contradictions. She is quiet, except when she is arguing. She is mean, other than when she is helping some girl who tripped pick up her books. She is aloof and composed, except for the times she lets her vulnerabilities show. She doesn't need anyone, but sometimes she wishes she could allow herself to have a friend.
Adrian is very perceptive, but she hates analyzing herself. She knows she has flaws, but she makes little effort to get rid of them. She assumes that they are there to stay. She doesn't think she is superior to anyone else. She just feels that she is the only one who cares enough to make something of herself. She is very inquisitive, wanting to know everything, and then wanting to know why. Sometimes she wishes she was more 'normal', but then she remembers that she doesn't want that at all. She's really not sure what she wants, but sometimes she thinks she is. She knows she confuses people, but often, she is just as confusing to herself.[/ul]
` don't tell a soul goodbye,
CURRENT LOCATION . 699 Lily Boulevard
FATHER . Richard Gray
MOTHER . Amelia Gray
SIBLINGS .None. Thank goodness.
PETS . Ehh, none. No interest in anything but cats, and her mother is allergic.
OTHER FAMILY . She has had no contact with her mother's family, who live somewhere in Europe, and no longer speaks to her father or his family.
HISTORY . It seemed like Adrian had the perfect life. From birth to age ten, her family lived in a lovely apartment in Chicago. Her life seemed like it was something from a storybook. Her mother and father were both lawyers, working at two separate law firms. She got anything she asked for, she loved her parents more than anything, she had all the friends she wanted, and she was getting a first rate education at a private school. But just a few months after her tenth birthday, everything changed.
She didn't realize it was changing until too late. Sure, her father kept coming home later and later, and then, finally, just leaving for days at a time. But her parents never argued, and they loved each other. At least they acted like they did. But one day, her father didn't come home. He never came home after that. Soon, he filed for divorce. Her mother was despondent. She still loved Richard. Adrian was crushed. She knew things like this happened often, but to other people, not to her. Not to her prefect family. Other children recovered from divorce, she was often told. She never did. Maybe it was her intelligence, maybe the fact that her father had never given any hints that he no longer loved her or her mother.
They moved to New York. Amelia, because she wanted to get away, Adrian, because she saw no other choice. Her mother was successful, and life went on. But it was not the same. Adrian kept her emotions bottled up, and she was overtly hostile to anyone her age who dared to approach her. She refused to be betrayed again. Ever. As she grew out of her awkward childhood, she became a pretty young woman. Boys asked her out. She said no. And not politely. It was in the spring of her seventeenth year that a guy crossed the line. As he passed her in the hallway he made a grab for her butt. Adrian turned around and punched him. She broke his nose and he was hospitalized.
For her mother, it was the last straw. She decided big city life must be bad for her Adrian, so they packed up and moved to Waters burg. They moved into a nice house, a mansion, really. Adrian thought it was much too big for just the two of them. She stayed in her bedroom in the basement, her mother stayed upstairs. It was a lonely summer. But recently she has been having odd dreams. Scary dreams. She doesn't understand them, but she is afraid that soon she will.[/ul]
` here's the countdown,
PASSWORD . wings
RP SAMPLE . It was the dream again. Adrian knew this, even as she knew she couldn't stop it from coming. She was standing in the middle of a burning field. Flames danced around her, a fast, wild dance that she felt she almost recognized. The flames surrounded her completely. There was nowhere to run. She knew what was coming next. She couldn't prevent it. She heard her mother scream. To her left, deep in the flames, she saw her mother's familiar shape crash to the ground, dead. Then came the recognition. She knew where she was. This was no ordinary field. This was the place where her house had once stood. The flames grew, their crackle and hiss reaching a wild crescendo, growing and spreading until they engulfed everything. Last came the knowledge. She was creating the flames. She was causing the destruction. And she was enjoying it. Enjoying the destruction and chaos, the pain and death. The despair she felt as the dream ended hurt just as much as always.
Adrian woke up, gasping. Bitter tears ran down her cheeks. Finally, she regained enough self-control to glance over at her clock. 3:27. She collapsed back onto her bed, feeling bone-tired. But, as usual, she couldn't fall back to sleep. She lay in bed, staring up at the ceiling until dawn. [/ul]
