Scratch's most apparent feature is not her dark eyes or long hair, but a jagged scar going through her left eyebrow that she's had as long as she can remember. Other than that, she could be considered very pretty. She has long, black hair that falls to her lower back with bangs. Her eyes are a dark, dark blue, almost black, but are warm and kind. She is very tall, standing at 5'9. Her build is slender from going without food at times and running through the streets.
On her back are a pair of dark blue, feathery wings. She's learned to fold them so they can fit inside a backpack that she cut the back out of to hide them. Otherwise, she'd have to live in hiding, and what fun would that be?
PERSONAL STYLE .
Whatever she can get her hands on. She's very much a bargain shopper, wearing things that she buys on final clearence. She wears sweatpants, tee-shirts meant for people three times bigger than she is, and the occaisonal actually decent-looking outfit. She has to buy stuff cheap, because she has to cut holes in the back for her wings.

Her whole life outside of school is a secret, really. The fact that she sneaks into the city to earn money, she doesn't really do her homework - her calculator does it for her, and Drop.
FAIRY PAST .
Darian the water fairy. Her familiar is a cat, pure black except for a white teardrop on its chest, named Drop. She has learned to communicate telepathically with Drop.
OVERALL PESONALITY .
Scratch has always been very quiet, hardly talking at all. You hardly ever hear her say a word. On occaison, she may deem the situation deserving of an entire sentance. She likes to blend in, though she's not good at it. Even her silence cannot hide her clothing choices and appearence.
She's very kind, though, helping people on the street. She'll help you, then run off, without ever even telling you her name. To earn money, she runs errands for people. She puts up flyers rather than spread word by mouth, and is found on the corner of Emerald St. every Saturday, when she offers her services. It's not like she has a phone. She has to sneak away from school, but it's worth it, to her.
Scratch has never grasped academic knowledge. It's never made sense to her. Algebra is a jumble of numbers. Reading is a bunch of characters thrown together. And don't ever ask her to recall a fact from history. She'll walk away. It's pure luck that the teachers never catch onto the fact that she gets most of her answers from Drop, who enjoys listening from inside the same backpack she stuffs her wings into, and a calculator.

HISTORY .
Scratch cannot remember her parents. She knows she knew them when she was very young, but when she around the age of five, she was abandoned. Her only memory of the times before that is her name. A small gang took her in and fed her, giving her the name 'Scratch' because of the mysterious scar on her face, but when she was old enough, they began pressuring her to steal and fight and the such. She obliged for a while - they had become her family.
One day, she was walking around the city, and wandered near the park. She sat near the pond, but lost her balance, and fell in. She panicked, and screamed. She took a breath, and began screaming again, but then realized - she had taken a breath! Shortly after this incident, she met Drop, and learned to control water. She grew her wings, so she cut the back out of a bookbag and wore it to cover her wings.
After this, she ran away from the gang, seeking better conditions, and perhaps someone who knew her parents and could explain why she of all people seemed to be... magical. Scratch found herself on the doorstep of Bearing's Academy.
They took her in without question, without charge, due to her circumstances, but students and teachers questioned this decision. She's still there to this day, living in a single dorm. She's been finding it harder and harder to avoid the pranks, and the teasing has intensified. People have begun to get curious about her past, and her backpack.
