"Shit, don't ever do that again! I hate surprises!"
` are you with me,
YOUR AGE . Thirteen. :3
RP EXPERIENCE . Uhh... A good four years, maybe?
CONTACT INFO . Hit me up on AIM or MSN
HOW DID YOU FIND US . Not a clue. ; I clicked a link. [/ul]
` there's no turning back,
NICKNAMES . Hem, from his initials, Major.
AGE & DATE OF BIRTH . Nineteen, June 13 1989
OCCUPATION . Bartender, student.
FACE CLAIM . Whatshisname... Uhm, Choi Siwon. [/ul]
` i'll be waiting,
The first thing to know about Hoai is that he's blind in his right eye, but not completely. His left eye is a dark, deep brown, and the right slightly lighter with the trademark film over it. He can make out shapes and such with his eye, providing that there is adequate light to do so. Said eyes are angled and so clearly Asian, earning he and his sister the occasional stare from time to time.
His hair is casual and generally long, ruffled up and messy at almost all times. He's vain enough to care about his appearance, but it's clear he doesn't thoroughly brush his hair. Hoai stands at about 5'9, and has pale, but not starch white skin. It's Asian, okay? His whole appearance screams his ethnicity, as is easy to see. A nice, straight nose, and it's hard to deny that Hoai is handsome, although the mildly haughty
PERSONAL STYLE .
It really and honestly depends on his mood. Hoai prefers to be comfortable, but under some circumstances, he'll assume a dressy, pompous look. It's one of those 'I have money, so I can afford to blow money on looking sloppy' looks that gets on people's nerves. Honestly, he doesn't give a rat's tail - sympathy for the disabled, please! However, Hoai does always carry his falconer's glove handy, if not on his arm already. [/ul]
` lace up your shoes,
+ His sister and brother
+ Bartending
+ Cooking - while it may seem a bit girly, he likes to cook. He's good at it!
+ Working for his things. Sure, he's rich and pampered, but he still likes to work hard.
+ Mechanics and engineering. He's fascinated with all that sort of stuff.
DISLIKES . (At least 5)
+ Surprises. He despises them.
+ His parents, the myth-obsessed fools.
+ Bad smells/ugly sounds
+ Being told what to do
+ Things blowing up in his face. He hates when things don't go as planned.
STRENGTHS . (At least 3)
+- Really, it could serve as strength or weakness, but Hoai is terribly paranoid. He's only got one eye, so he'll jump at quite a few things. His hearing and sense of smell are more attuned, however, and he can't have both headphones on at the same time for fear of being surprised.
+- Hoai is actually a really good cook. Yue always burned the food, so he tried his hand at it... and was great.
+- He can swim relatively quickly, and is a good runner.
+- He's intuitive, and his senses are heightened as a result of his partial blindness.
WEAKNESSES . (At least 3)
+- Paranoia, as aforementioned
+- He's terribly pompous and smug about being rich at some points
+- He'll do anything for his sister, who is good leverage for a bribe
+- His senses are more attuned, and what he doesn't like, he can't stand. So, it kind of sucks when you smell something terrible and can't do anything about it, and it bugs the shit out of you - right?
+- He has absolutely no sense of direction [ontheground], and continually walks into things. It's hard to navigate without peripheral vision!
+- His lack of sight in one eye. If you're quiet as hell, though, you can sneak up on him without him hearing.
GOALS .
+ Get another job, and not be dependent on his parents
+ Reconcile and talk to his brother
+ Make a plan for the future with his sister
+ Avoid detection by other fairys/demons/angels
+ Figure out a more convenient way to see...
FEARS .
+ He hates heights. They scare the shit outta him.
+ Being totally blind, or otherwise impaired
+ Losing Yue
+ Having his left eye obscured. At all.
+ Earthquakes
+ Needles
SECRETS .
+- He's half air, and his sister is a reincarnated demon. While neither of them know it at the moment, they're about to get a slap in the face.
+- He used to enjoy the stories about fairys and demons and angels his parents told. He still kind of likes them.
+- His bartending job actually started as a whim, but he would never tell anybody that, since he loves it now.
+- Sometimes he gets fed up with his own and his sister's attitude. Once again, he would never tell.
FAIRY PAST . Of mixed descent. Hoai is an air fairy, his mother was air, his father was earth, and his brother is a boring young human. His ancestors - Sasha and Monty, Hoai being less than pleased to discover this.
OVERALL PESONALITY .
Hoai is sensitive about his partial blindness, and will throw you a good punch if you tease him about it. He's very defined about what he likes and what he doesn't, and he loathes surprises.

` don't tell a soul goodbye,
CURRENT LOCATION . Emerald Street, his sister on Indigo.
FATHER . Phuoc H. Mairjorie
MOTHER . Alicia K. Mairjorie
SIBLINGS . Yue U. Mairjorie, Phuoc L. Mairjorie
PETS . Le familiar. Bryn, the peregrine falcon whom he received as a fifteenth birthday present. Bryn is nearly always perched on Hoai's shoulder, or arm.
OTHER FAMILY . Nope.
HISTORY .
It was nothing exceptional, and honestly, they weren't expecting much. An elder son, Phuoc, and Alicia Mairjorie was pregnant again! This time, however, the air fairy gave birth to twins. A girl, and a boy, it was spelled out in perfect clarity that Hoai and Yue were soul-mates from the very beginning. Hoai was born blind in his right eye, and so Yue was his eye, and he was her hearing. It wasn't that she was deaf, but her hearing wasn't as good as his, right? Phuoc was only a year older than them, and the three were fast friends. Yue and Hoai had 'twin telepathy', and their brother always felt left out. However, the twins did their best to include him. Seven years went by, and the Mairjorie family moved from their home of Seoul, South Korea to Hunter's City, New York.
Hoai and Yue spoke perfect English, their mother having been American, in addition to Korean. The kids adjusted quickly to their new life, albeit rather reluctantly. However, Hoai and Yue had grown out of their mother and father's fairy tales of magic and myth and light and dark. They knew very well who they were, but Hoai and Yue scorned the tales after a while, and didn't believe anymore. In America, Phuoc and Alicia Mairjorie were successful, and somehow landed a fortune. Therefore, Hoai, Yue, and Phuoc [the younger] had lots of money.
From thereon the siblings were spoiled and pampered and wealthy. They loved it. Phuoc was the good child, Yue was the least favorite, and by extension and through his sister, Hoai was a troublemaker. It was expected that one day they would take off, for they all had a bit of air fairy in them, and air cannot be contained. A week before their sixteenth birthday, Hoai and Yue up and left - they were gone. The two only went from Hunter's City to Watersburg, but the difference was enough. They had not exactly run away, but they certainly weren't connected with the family anymore, except for funding.
Their estranged parents continued to give them money, and for a while, Hoai and Yue lived in the trailer park, going to school, and working. Upon graduating from high school, the pair skiddled off to Emerald Street, more convenient. They've been there since, and there's a little more to Yue's story. Hoai and Yue always suspected there was more to their parents stories than they let on, and one day they had slipped up accidentally. After a while, things started happening around town, and the two have figured out that Hoai's a fairy. However, they're not quite sure what Yue is... And all in due time, it'll come.

PASSWORD . WINGS.
RP SAMPLE . SORRY. >_<; LAZY.
Silviya Wyler was a night person. Actually, both of the Wyler twins were night people, but right now, it was two am, and Silviya was sprawled on her bed, awake, staring up at the ceiling. Erias was asleep, snoring gently on the couch, which, in all factuality, Silviya should be on. She, after all, was the smaller person, requiring a lot less space than her hella tall brother. But no. Silviya was too pushy, too domineering to let that happen... And Erias simply went along with it. Everybody was happy - right? Wrong. Rolling restlessly off her bed, Silviya flicked a light on, shielding her eyes from the sudden flare. Stumbling over to her brother, she shook him. 'I'm uh, going for a walk.' She mumbled, and grabbed a hoodie off the ground, and her iPod off the shelf. Her reply was a half hearted grumble, and Silviya yawned. Snatching some water from the fridge, the door slammed shut, and Silviya was gone.
Putting in the earphones, Silviya felt oddly... subdued for once in her lifetime. For a moment, she didn't notice the lyrics, but after a second, it was clear that the irony was out to get her. Snorting drily, the girl walked on. Whistling 'Happy Birthday', Silviya was lost in a world of memory and thought. The weight of guardianship made her want to scream. She could only imagine how the others, who did not share the duties with a twin or sibling, must feel. Saire and Zurie had paid the price and were now dead. Biting her lip, the girl walked the streets mindlessly, her feet carrying her father and farther. She was, she knew, in the Outlands. She lived in the outskirts of Ethor, so it was only expected.

Silviya shuddered, clicking the music off. She couldn't take it. Everything reminded her of these goddamned supposed duties she now had! Crossing her arms over her chest tightly, the girl walked on, not paying attention. 'Oof!' She squeaked, nearly ramming into a metal thing. Staring up at the CRUX building, Silviya snorted. Reaching out to a large metal beam, she engraved words into it with a smirk. I was here - and so what's this ulterior motive of yours? Everybody knew CRUX wasn't what it was cut out to be. Inspecting her handiwork carefully for a moment, she had a satisfied, sick smile twisted onto her lips.
Wheeling around, Silviya had a prickling sense of paranoia poking her in the back of the neck. Rubbing said spot, she shut her eyes tight, and sighed heavily. Shoving her hands deep into her hoodie pockets, Silviya picked up a jog. Her feet carried her away from the CRUX building, her breath the only sound aside from her feet hitting the ground. And all else was not a sound - it was feeling. It felt like a good while until she stopped running, for her pace had increased drastically. Panting, Silviya leaned forward, hands on her knees, eyes closed.
It was quiet out here, still. Lying down, Silviya was eagle-spread on the earth, breathing slowly. The rumble of faraway cars carried to her through the ground, the vibrations screaming to her to be magnified. Underground dwellers scuttled through their homes, creating vibrations as well. It started in gentle tremors, and Silviya created a constricted earthquake. Magnify, decrease, magnify, decrease.
Her fingers dug into the earth she could not manipulate as she lay there, quietly. Breathe. In and out. In and out. In and out. Her hood falling back, Silviya's blond hair fluttered gently in the wind as she relented, releasing the vibrations. She was done for now, but maybe in a little bit, maybe she'd keep it up. 'Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday, dear Erias...' She murmured. 'Happy birthday to us.' Silviya was starting to feel drowsy.
She was so far from home.
And Erias would yell at her if she didn't return. What was a girl to do?
Before Silviya knew it, she had rolled onto her side, curled up, and fallen asleep. Her water bottle lay abandoned a few feet away, her hands clenched to fists, and her earphones still in. The world was quiet.
The world was still.
