(Just an intro)
Morgana was in her lair, as per usual, perched on her throne, scratching Nekita's ears. The thousand year old paintings hung on burgundy wallpaper with intricate rose-like designs meticulously carved by hands of an artist she once knew. The inner chamber was mostly decked with her symbols, or various trinkets of the past.
A charred willow reaching up from a pool of holy water, clear and pure, its branches dipping into it, was in one corner. Her personal library a few feet from it, each volume stacked on a large polished mahogany shelf. A gnarled piece of wood, an old staff was shut behind a cabinet with glass doors and an ethereal light from within. Accompanying it were ancient scrolls of old English, scribblings of times of the past by scribes, each one bearing significance for particularly nasty pieces of magic, or a certain saga of the world's history.
An oaken panel ran across the breadth of one wall until it broke into a rich jade green. The other held her prized painting, her favorite among them all. There was the tryptich of the moon, comet, and citadel; the black rose fairy, a legend among legends; a large black panther, Jeshicka, the early ancestor of Nekita, stretched out lazily in the very courtyard that made her 'ceiling', and so many more in golden and ebony frames.
But what she treasured was a complete floorplan of her building, consisting of *five levels and four wings surrounding a central courtyard right above her inner chamber. She had toblackmail threaten bribe the one who was willing to put the enormous building on canvas with mere oils and paints. She was very pleased with the outcome.
Nearest the door was another cabinet, a mirror of the one containing her scrolls, sceptre, and other odds and ends, but this one filled with herbs, potions, Anectine, and other nasty brews. She was very precise about her chamber and few have entered without being summoned.
The East wing was the Library and Training Arena. Some have argued that two opposites could not co-exist in the same area, but Morgana ignored them naturally, being an avid reader, researcher, and collector, on top of training demons to mold them into what she chose. There's an infirmary leading onto the North Wing where the Smokes worked and taught the young ones their skills.
The West Wing was where the elite demons were housed, usually trainers or those she held in high esteem, though they rarely stayed long. It was complete with luxuries of today's life with the human's technology as well as individual studies.
The North Wing was where she put the rest and a few guest rooms. This included the guards, who were generally shapeshifters, and extra studies and such.
The South Wing contained a simple average storage room with a few common potion ingredients and weapons of all sorts. A demon had to be knowledgeable in all the arts to go through the first culling. On top of that was a few rooms with cabinets made of glass displaying her secondary gallery, where she may reward demons with objects from. These are so rare, however, that most deem themselves lucky to have ever glanced into it.
Morgana is either in her Inner Chamber, or the courtyard above it. She personally trains the familiars, and raises the litters though she occasionally trusts others to do so as well. The courtyard is off limits to almost all. She has few rules in her lair, large though it is, but can be very unpleasant when they are broken.
*(As for the other three levels...Well. I'll just leave you to find out, shan't I?)
